Child Protection Training

This training is aimed to give organisations a greater understanding of Child Protection and how it can easily be embedded into the organisations culture. Workshops are interactive and involve group work, audio visuals and scenarios to really enhance understanding. 

The workshop is designed for all staff, whether paid or unpaid working in an organisation who engages with children; including frontline & behind the scenes, including but not limited to;  after school care, youth workers, community workers, sport coaches/managers, holiday programmes, lifeguards/swim teachers, sport coordinators and also include people in governance positions such as general managers, board of trustees and committee members to ensure a top down approach.

This workshop will cover:

  • Identifying and responding to vulnerability and child abuse

  • Keeping children at the centre of good practice

  • Safe working practices to keep children and staff/volunteers safe when engaging with children

  •  Developing Child Protection Policies and Procedures

  • Creating a safe organisation

Workshops are designed according to the needs of the organisation and can fit to suit your timetable. 3.5 hours is the most effective timing for the training.
